Another Friday afternoon

Where has this week gone? I think I spent most of my week in the car, running errands, going to the doctor, going to meetings. Today I have not left the house! This morning I sat down and put the binding on one of the loud colored baby quilts. Three more to go!

I just got off the phone with Nina. She had sent me a email saying she had laughed her head off at my pillow experience, so I called her to see if she was still laughing. She was in the middle of sewing something, which I am sure she will share later! Anyway, I got my whole kitchen cleaned while talking to her - a task I had been avoiding all week. Now it is all nice and clean - just in time for dinner! I am hoping DH will make pad thai for us. If you have never had pad thai and you like spicy food, you should give it a try. Stacy makes it with rice noodles and chicken. Yummy!

I was telling Nines about this cute colorwheel that Maddie painted at school last week. I am thinking of framing it and hanging it in my sewing room - to remind me that there are more colors out there than blue and yellow!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. Oh that would be so cute to frame it - and remind you about other colors! But what about those great browns and and sage greens I like????

  2. Definately frame it! I love it! I especially like how the blue and the orange are the biggest ones, especially the orange since I am on a cheddar binge right now! :c)

  4. Ditto - frame it. But before you do, transfer it to fabric. You can start now collecting some of your favorites that Maddy does, and before you know it, you could have a fantastic memory quilt of her younger years! Then you can QUILT it!

  8. Hey! My bones quilt is coming along, but I had to put it away so I can make myself work on quilting Tanya's heart quilt. I plan on having her pay me in repro- fabric. So that'll motivate me to finish by Tuesday, eh? I got my mom that Egg-money book- you'd like it. I want to go to WV on Wednesday- if all goes well at the neurologist. You know, when you have a baby, you just thank God that they are healthy- it just isn't something you think about-having a ticking time bomb in them. I'm afraid they found something in the MRI- they redid a segment. I need you to pray real hard for us!

  9. Very sweet color wheel - have her sign it and put her age - and then frame it. I think it would get good use in your sewing area too.

    Cheers!
