Ever since I saw Bonnie's pineapple blossom quilt, I have been itching to try that block. Especially when I found out it was not paper pieced! Tonight I cut down all my coffee fabric scraps into the required sizes. After I got the DD into bed, I decided to sew one block, just to see how it will look. I love it! I'm not sure how far my scraps will go, but I hopefully I'll get a lap sized quilt out of it. In case Nines is getting a chance to read this at her parents, I miss being able to talk to you! I know your parents appreciate having you there to help! Give your dad a hug for me!

ReplyDeleteLove it. You could always throw some non-coffee scraps in to make it go farther... More of the deep dark chocolatey colors. Ooh coffee and chocolate. mmmm mocha.
